Calvary Chapel Conference CenterZichy Kastély

The Kastély was built in 1922 by the aristocratic Zichy family. In the early 1900's, they were one of the five richest families in Hungary. They owned 30 private residences. This mansion was only occupied for two months out of every year, during which time the family would oversee their property holdings of 1,483 acres in the surrounding area. After World War II, the Zichy family fled to Sweden as the communists took over the facility and communist leaders used it as a vacation home. After the Revolution of 1957, the manor was converted into a camp for handicapped children. When the iron curtain fell in 1989, the new government did not have the funds to maintain the property. As a result it was abandoned in 1994 and fell into a sad state of disrepair. In 2000 it was purchased by Calvary Chapel and underwent major renovations for the purpose of reaching out to Eastern and Western Europe with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are looking for a team of 30 men and women, to serve our conference season which runs from June through August. We will be hosting Christian conference groups from all over Europe. Our desire is to serve the body of Christ by giving them a great time of refreshment and fellowship, and in essence, to serve those who spend their year serving the King of Kings.

While most of the summer will be spent in practical service, SOS is a program designed to build disciples, and so a strong emphasis is also placed on personal spiritual growth. Each day begins with devotions--a time of prayer, worship, and challenging encouragement from God's Word. This is a wonderful opportunity to seek the Lord Jesus every day. There are other worship and Bible study times throughout the week to enjoy.

Team members serve around forty hours per week. There are many areas of service such as: dish room, dining room, housekeeping and grounds.
